Bridging Psychology is stepping up to deliver much needed high quality psychological services to NDIS participant. Individuals with disability are more likely to experience higher levels of psychological distress compared to individuals without disability. With that in mind Bridging Psychology is committed to making psychological services accessible to individuals with disability.

We build strong therapeutic relationship and establish trust through active listening and constructive feedback which allows our clients to feel heard, understood, and accepted.

We create a safe and accepting environment where clients can freely express themselves without fear of being judged. We believe that every individual is unique and has their own experiences, perspectives, and struggles. We respect our clients’ individuality and help clients feel validated and supported and provide unconditional positive regard and acceptance.
Person- centred
With a focus on the individual as the expert on their own experiences we create a safe and non-judgmental space for the client to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We act as a facilitator in the client’s journey of identifying their goals and solutions.
Patience
We understand the difficulty clients experience about sharing personal thoughts and feelings. We recognise that each client is unique and may need different amounts of time to build trust and feel comfortable before sharing their person thoughts and feelings.
Continuous learning and growth
The field of psychology is constantly evolving, and new research and techniques are emerging every day. We aim to stay updated and continuously expand our knowledge and skills with the lates research and evidence base therapeutic modalities to provide the best possible care for our clients.
Disability Awareness
People with disabilities face unique challenges and barriers in accessing mental health services and receiving appropriate care. As mental health professionals, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide effective and sensitive care to individuals with disabilities.
Transparency
We are open and honest about the methods, procedures, and outcomes of psychological assessments and interventions. This includes providing clear information to clients about their rights, the nature of the therapeutic relationship, and the potential risks and benefits of treatment. Transparency also extends to the sharing of information with other professionals involved in a client’s care, as well as the public and the wider scientific community.
