COSTS
Costs vary depending on your unique circumstances and the type of assessment required.
In general, hours spent on your assessment can vary from 9 hours – 15 hours at $230 per hour.
At times, due the complexities of the individual’s presentation our clinician may require an additional session or time to ensure a correct diagnosis or non-diagnosis is provided. If your assessment is complex and we estimate more time is needed, we will inform you about the need for an additional session as early as possible in the assessment process.
Autism Spectrum Disorder - ASD
Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder and brain-style difference that influences how an individual socialises, communicates, thinks, and processes information. Autistic people experience and interact with the world differently than non-Autistic people.
Given their pattern of differences, Autistic people can find it challenging to naturally connect with neurotypical people, manage unexpected changes and/or filter out sensory sensations.
At Bridging Psychology, we focus on recognising strengths and differences in autistic individuals and utilise neurodiversity-affirming assessments to identify whether an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) according to the DSM-5-TR.
Assessments usually include multiple interviews with the Individual or parent/caregiver and any other relevant professional in the person’s life. A formal observational assessment of your child, review of relevant documents and consultations. A written, comprehensive and tailored report of the results, diagnosis and recommendations with a final feedback session. This requires our clinicians to engage in 14 hours of work. If your assessment is complex and we estimate more time is needed, we will inform you about the need for an additional session as early as possible in the assessment process.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition and brain-style difference that affects an individual’s self-regulation, executive function, attention and/or impulsivity.
Individuals with ADHD experience and interact with the world differently compared to their neurotypical peers. Some of the differences, high energy, noticing a lot of things at once making difficulty to stay attentive and focusing intensely on things they enjoy. A comprehensive assessment can assist in identifying whether an individual meets the ADHD criteria for a diagnosis.
